We certainly need to play it safe this game. This thread is for discussing our nefarious schemes and plans.
Now, I'm trying to think up how we can abuse the news reports. I'm not entirely sure how they're going to work (asking Weldar for full details), but I reckon we can use them for misdirection. We can either fabricate evidence, or use them to draw out the townies' roles. This is a bit of a gamble though; if I say "the doctor blocked a kill on TJ", the real doctor will know that I'm mafia. Unless, of course, right from the start I lie through my teeth and pretend my role is that I can dig up random clues each game.

I don't think you should ever do a report on one of us until we're about to die. Besides which, I think the reports are anonymous, so you wouldn't get flagged.
Heck, if you do nothing but defend Fobby in the reports he might get lynched, but that'd only work once or twice.

One evil idea I have planned is to pretend that Lakitu's role is to uncover a clue every day. It might be a red herring, it might not. But if we can do something convincing (such as identify who the next mafia victim is and have them saved by the doc), it will convince people that I speak the truth. Then all I need to do is to start feeding them some lies...
Just as planned.
Also TJ, if things go horribly wrong for us, how do you feel about taking one for the team? In past games people have brought up others voting for the mafia as proof of innocence. If things get really hairy and we all become suspect (or they get too close) we could always steer them to vote for you. It 'proves' our innocence, and with your kickass ability you get to take one down with you.
That's a last resort, btw. We're not sacrificing you! But it throws them off our trail for a few days at least.
Also, with your fire breathing ability, I think the first use should be on an innocent if it shows an unconfirmed result. If we only use it on ourselves it'll just convince people the victims were the mafia all along. But if we use it on an innocent, that wrecks their theory.
We'll have to choose them well though. Perhaps someone innocent but badly suspected of being a mafia, or someone who is 100% innocent, just to throw a curveball...

We'll see how the game progressess. If I'm the golden boy, and Snakeinabox is being suspected, we'll try to figure out what to do.
Keep in mind, even diverting attention of someone else and on to me might be seen as a mafia move. We also don't know Snakeinabox's, Avalanche's, or Sahrimnir's abilities.

Avalanche sent out a PM with his abilities; he can read minds to get hints. Which will be brilliant in determining which of the townies has roles.
Snake and Sahrimnir though...no idea.

Oh, Avalanche! If you read this, use your mind read on Surge when we kill him! And I'll use my fire breathe!
This way, if Surge is the doctor, we can use fake reports with assurance that he won't role reveal to say we're lying. And if I burn him, no one else can say otherwise.
Of course, we can scan every person we kill with Avalanches power and use that at our discretion. If I burn the first corpse too, that'll throw some extra confusion in.
OH! I just realized that we can kill people and one of us can take their role. Say surge is the doctor, once we kill him, one of us can claim to be a doctor and "Protect" someone. Then we start trying to influence everyone else.
Lotsa plans...

I think for now a more effective course of action is killing people at random, mainly to make sure they keep relativly clueless. I dont as much as scan them, I get hints on their roles really... Surge was actually second on my list to scan, but then I'll just scan Warchamp next round. Actually quite a shame Weldar isn't joining the game /personal grudge

I'm not sure if we should risk mind reading the dead. Although it means we can steal a role, it also means that until then the doctor/cop etc are running around free. Plus since the townies can talk to each other, if the doctor for example has revealed their role to someone else in private, then our cover will be blown instantly. I reckon we should keep scanning the living so we can secretly find out the roles and then kill them, making it look random.
For my first news bulletin I'm going to imply that I get free clues, and also drop my first bit of misinformation. I'm thinking that it should be that a mafia member has a five letter name. Six people in the game have a five-lettered name. You're one of them TJ, but with five others it should hopefully throw the rest into confusion...especially if we put pressure on them to vote elsewhere.
If I follow it up in the next report with 'has numbers in their name', that narrows it down to JGH27 and td260. At this early stage people will be desperate for clues, so should hopefully jump on it.
How does that sound? Any other suggestions for 'clues' I can give?

afraid its a little to deceisive (sp), and I think it'll come back to bite TheTJ and possibly you yourself in the ass later. Then again, thats probably the risk/gain principle of your role to begin with.
Do as you see fit, just dont involve me in em yet.
also, should I change my scan target?

It's kinda pointless to use sex (role-block) right now, considering we don't know any of the innocents' roles. Unless one of us is targetted immediately, I think I should use cash to take a vote away from an innocent and thereby throw suspicion on him/her. What do you think?

That sounds like a good idea. Especially if they're allowed to say that they were bribed (Which it sounds like they are).

I think I'm gonna wait for some people to actually vote before I decide who I want to make vote for whom.

I PM my report to Weldar and he posts it up. It'll be very difficult to trace the report to me. I'm going to make sure to change my British spelling to American as well, heh
